BIST 100 Closed Wednesday With A Rise

BIST 100 index closed Wednesday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day with 1.55 percent gain at 1,812.30 points, closing the highest of all time.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 27.74 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 47.7 billion liras. At the close, the banking index gained 1.95 percent, while the holding index gained 1.74 percent. While forest, paper and printing were the highest earners among the sector indices with 4.63 percent, the most decline was recorded on sports with 2.02 percent. BIST 100 index, which saw its highest level of all time with 1,834.51 points during the day, carried the closing record to 1,812.30 points. Analysts stated that the minutes of the meeting of the US Federal Reserve (FED), which will be announced this evening, will be followed, and noted that the US stock markets will be closed tomorrow due to Thanksgiving. Reminding that the statements of the European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde will be at the focal point of the markets tomorrow, the analysts said that the summary of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and the growth in Germany will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.840 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.720 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
