BIST 100 Index Closed Monday With A Record
BIST 100 index closed Monday with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a gain of 2.33 percent at 2,449.11 points, closing the highest of all time.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 55.72 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 63.6 billion TL.
At the close, the banking index gained 5.93 percent and the holding index gained 3.45 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring had the highest gains with 6.12 percent, and the most decline was recorded on electricity with 2.01 percent.
The BIST 100 index brought its highest level record to 2,450.16 points and its closing record to 2,449.11 points.
Analysts noted that a significant increase in profits is expected from the majority of companies traded in Borsa Istanbul in the first quarter of the year, adding that especially bank profitability estimations are the main factor feeding the risk appetite.
Pointing out that the Russia-Ukraine war brings opportunities as well as risks, analysts said that the recently improving relations between Turkey and western states also support Turkish lira assets.
Stating that tomorrow, industrial production in the country, inflation in the USA, inflation and Zew indices in Germany will be monitored closely, analysts stated that the level of 2,450 is in a position of resistance and the level of 2.340 stands out as support for
the BIST 100 index.
