BIST 100 Index Closed The Day With A Rise

BIST 100 index closed the day with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 1,997.33 points, gaining 0.33 percent value.

At the beginning of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 6.58 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 34.2 billion TL. At the closing, the banking index lost 0.98 percent value, while the holding index lost 0.61 percent value. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 2.94 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 4.58 percent. Analysts said that after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that they were discussing with their European allies to stop oil imports from Russia, oil prices, which exceeded 130 dollars, put pressure on the stock markets, while the BIST 100 index diverged positively. Analysts, who stated that the course of commodity prices, especially oil, will have an impact on investor decisions, said that the data agenda will be calm tomorrow, while the growth in the Eurozone, industrial production in Germany, wholesale stocks and foreign trade balance in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.950 and 1.890 are in a position of support and the level of 2.040 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
