BIST 100 Index Started Friday Horizontally

BIST 100 index started Friday horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day flat with 1.575.83 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which increased by 0.16 points and 0.01 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,575.83 points. While the banking index gained 0.01 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.25 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 0.99 percent earned the most, while the most decline was recorded on food and beverage with 0.39 percent. Yesterday on Borsa Istanbul, BIST 100 index gained 1.85 and closed the day at 1,575.67 points, closing the highest of all time. Analysts reminded that at the last meeting of the US Federal Reserve, the rate of reduction in bond purchases will depend on economic developments and that more improvement is needed in the employment market for the interest rate hike process, and in this context, the data in the US employment report to be announced today will be determinative on the direction of the markets. Stating that data on industrial production in Germany and retail sales in the Eurozone will also be followed today, analysts pointed out that developments in the bond market should also be monitored carefully. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.590 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.540 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
