BIST 100 Index Started the Week with a Record
BIST 100 index started the week with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week at 1,921.19 points with an increase of 0.56 percent.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 10.79 points and 0.56 percent compared to the previous close, rose to an all-time high with 1,921.19 points.
While the banking index gained 0.27 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.64 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 1.69 percent, while the only decline was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 0.44 percent.
On Friday, the BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul increased by 1.61% compared to the previous closing, bringing the closing record to 1,910.41 points.
Analysts said that the uncertainties created by the Omicron variant, which emerged in the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, continue to affect the global risk perception.
Stating that today, the real effective exchange rate in the country, factory orders in Germany and the investor confidence index in the Eurozone will be followed, the analysts stated that the news flow on the Covid-19 epidemic is also in the focus of the investors.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.950 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.870 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
