BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With an Increase
BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index gained 0.98 percent in Borsa Istanbul and started the day at 1,562.17 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which increased by 15.14 points and 0.98 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1.562.17 points.
While the banking index gained 1.58 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.99 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 2.93 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 0.09 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.91 percent and closed the day at the highest level of 7.5 months with 1.547.03 points.
Analysts stated that although the US Federal Reserve (FED) did not change interest rates in line with expectations and reduced the speed of asset purchases by $ 15 billion, the decision text and the statements of
FED Chairman Jerome Powell kept the risk appetite in the markets high.
Analysts stated that the Bank of England's (BoE) interest rate decision is in the focus of investors and that expectations fluctuate until the last day, and that the decisions of the OPEC+ group meeting will also be monitored closely.
Analysts stated that on the agenda of macroeconomic data, weekly money and bank statistics and real effective exchange rate in the country, weekly unemployment applications in the USA and foreign trade balance come to the fore.
In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.570 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.500 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
