BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With An Increase

BIST 100 index started Thursday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,710.05 points with 0.18 percent gain.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 3.01 points and 0.18 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,710.05 points. While the banking index gained 0.04 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.27 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with 1.72 percent gained the most, while the only decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 0.11 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 1.27 percent, bringing the closing record to 1,707.04 points. Analysts stated that inflation concerns in global stock markets eroded the risk appetite, and said that today, domestic eyes were turned to the interest rate decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT). Reminding that the weekly unemployment applications in the USA and the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index are prominent in today's data agenda, analysts said that the speeches of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials will also be in the focus of investors. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.660 stands out as the support and the level of 1.725 is in a position of resistance for the BIST 100 index.
