BIST 100 index started Tuesday with an increase on November 23. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,756.71 points with a value gain of 0.07 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 1.23 points and 0.07 percent compared to the previous close, reached 1,756.71 points. While the banking index depreciated by 0.21% at the opening, the holding index gained 0.11%. Among the sector indices, sports was the highest earner with 1.45 percent, while the most decline was recorded on banking. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 1.04 compared to the previous closing, bringing the closing record to 1,755.48 points. Analysts said that a mixed course was followed in the global equity markets, with concerns that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) might raise interest rates before expectations and that the rate of reduction in asset purchases, which was previously announced as $15 billion per month, might be increased. Stating that the statements of US President Joe Biden will be followed closely today, analysts said that especially the evaluations regarding inflation and oil reserves may have an impact on asset prices. Analysts stated that the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data on the manufacturing industry and service sector in the USA and Europe will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.760 and 1.780 are in a position of resistance and the level of 1.720 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
