BIST 100 Started Friday With An Increse

BIST 100 index started Friday with an increase. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,969.73 points with an increase of 0.60 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 11.83 points and 0.60 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,969.73 points. While the banking index gained 0.40 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.86 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism was the highest earner with 1.53 percent, while the most decline was recorded on securities investment partnership with 0.41 percent. BIST 100 index, which followed a sales-weighted course yesterday, finished the day at 1,957.90 points with a 2.21 percent depreciation. Analysts said that despite the hawkish stance of central banks in monetary policies and the decreasing risk appetite globally due to the increasing tension between Russia and Ukraine, the announced balance sheets were determinant on the pricing in the stock markets. It was stated that today, the real effective exchange rate in the country, factory orders in Germany and non-farm employment, unemployment and average hourly earnings data in the US employment report will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.990 and 2.030 are in the resistance position, and the levels of 1.920 and 1.880 are in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
