BIST 100 Started Tuesday With Gains
BIST 100 index started Tuesday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 0.32 percent at 2.008.29 points.
At the beginning of the day, the
BIST 100 index, which gained 6.35 points and 0.32 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,088.29 points.
While the banking index gained 0.28 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.18 percent. Among the sector indices, tourism with 5.62 percent gained the most, while the most decline was recorded on forest, paper and printing with 0.18 percent.
BIST 100 index, following a sales-weighted course parallel to the world stock markets, closed the day at 2.001.94 points with a 2.39 percent depreciation.
Analysts stated that the ongoing tension between Russia and Ukraine caused the risk perception to remain high in the global stock markets and stated that the intensified data agenda as well as the developments on the subject are expected to be effective in today's pricing.
Pointing out that stock-based volatility may continue with the continuation of the balance sheet announcements of the companies traded in Borsa Istanbul, the analysts said that the budget balance in the country, Producer Price Index (PPI) in the USA, growth in the Eurozone and ZEW in Germany will be monitored closely.
It was stated that the level of 1.990 is in a position of support and the level of 2.090 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
