US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced its decision not to block Russians. The crypto exchange explained the reasons behind this decision.

Recently, Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov called on all major cryptocurrency exchanges to block the addresses of Russian users. While the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, the parties continue to make demands on companies. Coinbase has joined the list of crypto exchanges refusing to meet the Ukrainian government's request. Coinbase said it would not comply with the request to ban all Russian users, which would punish ordinary Russian citizens. A spokesperson from the company said the following in a statement to Decrypt: "A unilateral and complete ban would punish ordinary Russian citizens who endured historic currency destabilization as a result of their government's aggression against a democratic neighbor."
