Countdown Starts for Turkey's Automobile TOGG

The countdown has begun for TOGG, a Turkey-based automobile manufacturer company, which has left behind its 4th year since its establishment. It was stated that trial productions will start at the end of July at the Gemlik facility. In the last quarter of this year, mass production will start and TOGG will be taken off the production line.

As Turkey's global brand, Automobile Enterprise Group TOGG is counting the days to start mass production. The construction works of the factory, the foundation of which was laid in Gemlik on July 18, 2020, has come to an end. At the facility, where at least 30 percent of its employees will be women, it was noted that at the start of production, the local rate will be 51 percent, and it will reach 68 percent in 2025. It was announced that the 1.6 kilometer test track was completed at the Gemlik facility, where the slogan "More than a Factory" was used. After part inspections and verifications, he successfully produced the first C-SUV body from robot lines. In the facility, where 250 production robots will work in total, trial production will start until the end of July, and in the last quarter of this year, TOGG will come off the production line and meet with its enthusiasts. Turkey's Automobile will record 80 percent occupancy with fast charging in under 30 minutes, and will have "300+" and "500+" kilometer range options. TOGG will be constantly connected to the center and will be able to record updates remotely via 4G/5G connection. With the production, high-speed charging stations will start to be established that will cover all 81 provinces. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated, "We will provide a total of 300 million lira support for the establishment of more than 1,500 high-speed charging stations in all 81 provinces. Thus, we will equip Turkey with charging stations within a year." Turkey's automobile, TOGG, which will employ a total of 4,300 people when its annual production capacity reaches 175,000 units at its Gemlik facility, aims to produce a total of 1 million vehicles in 5 different models from a single platform until 2030.
