Dutch restaurant created the most expensive hamburger in the world
The world's restaurants are waging a never-ending struggle over who will market the world's most expensive food. One such record was recently set by the Dutch restaurant De Daltons, which dethroned all previous title holders from the imaginary throne and created the most expensive hamburger in the world. Their burger, nicknamed The Golden Boy, requires nine hours of preparation and costs an incredible 5,000 euros.
The Hamburger from the Dutch restaurant contains all the luxury ingredients. In the most expensive burger you can taste beef wagyu, premium beef ribs, Alaskan king crab, Beluga sturgeon caviar, white truffles, Iberico Bellota Paleta ham, onion rings smeared with Dom Perignon champagne, pickled tomatoes in matcha tea and smoked barbecue mayonnaise. sauce that contains Kopi Luwak coffee and Macallan Single Malt whiskey. All this is then neatly stacked in a saffron bun, which is wrapped in gold dust.
The first person to taste a burger was Robert Wilemese, chairman of the Royal Dutch Food and Beverage Association. Although all of the above ingredients may work together somewhat inconsistently, he said the burger was tasty.
"Everything complemented well and the taste was really intense and the dining experience was pleasant," Wilemese told the Australian server Boss Hunting. However, he added that even though it is a very luxurious and expensive food, because it is a burger, it is not possible to eat it in a sophisticated way.
"Even though it's an extremely expensive burger, you still have to eat it with your hands, otherwise it just doesn't work. Because of the golden ball, I had my hands on gold after I finished eating, ”adds Wilemese.
The most expensive hamburger in the world was created with charitable intentions. "I was sorry to see the suffering of the masses and the unhappy situation in the restaurant business. That's why I decided to create the most expensive hamburger in the world and donate all the proceeds to charity to do something good for the company, "restaurant owner Robert Jan de Veen told The National. Proceeds from the first burger sold went to support food banks.
Robert Jan de Veen and De Daltons are currently awaiting confirmation of the status of the most expensive hamburger, The Golden Boy, from the Official World Record Association. However, none of the participants seem to doubt that they have it in their pocket.
If the record goes well, The Golden Boy will surpass the current record holder, a 22-kilogram burger made in Oregon,
USA, as well as a Fleur burger made in the kitchen of Mandalay Bay Casino in
Las Vegas, which contains Wagyu beef, foie gras, black truffle shavings and Chateau Petrus wine from 1995 directly from the Bordeaux region.
Diners looking to sample The Golden Boy burger can make a reservation directly at De Daltons Restaurant. However, it must be purchased at least two weeks in advance so that the chefs can prepare sufficiently for it, as well as a deposit of EUR 750.
