TESK Demanded a Loan for Tradesmen

TESK demanded a loan for tradesmen. TESK President Palandöken announced that he requested a "lifeline loan".

Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) President Bendevi Palandöken stated that he requested an interest-free and long-term lifeline loan to help the tradesmen and craftsmen who were affected by the Covid-19 epidemic process stand up again. Making a written statement, TESK President said that with the removal of epidemic restrictions, tradesmen and craftsmen should be reintroduced to the economy. Stating that tradesmen and craftsmen need to stand up for the wheels to turn, TESK President Palandöken said, "Zero interest, 6-month non-refundable and long-term lifeline loans should be given in order to pay the accumulated debts of our tradesmen and craftsmen, who are the people who suffer the most from the epidemic." Palandoken reminded that the last lifeline loan for tradesmen was given 13 years ago and continued as follows: "Especially, our tradesmen, whose activities have been completely stopped, should be allowed to benefit from zero-interest loans. Due to the restrictions, many tradesmen such as coffee shops, tea shops, canteens, stationers have experienced great difficulties. Now, our tradesmen in these troubled sectors cannot pay their accumulated debts, SSK and Bağ-Kur premiums despite the restructuring. The lifeblood loan is indispensable for our tradesmen to pay off their accumulated debts. It should not be forgotten that all kinds of support provided to tradesmen turn the wheels of the economy and reflect positively on the market."
