The extension decision was accepted in the Ripple and SEC case. Ripple has gained a bit more time to respond to the SEC.
New developments continue to occur in the long-awaited Ripple and SEC case. According to the latest information,
Ripple has achieved a new victory against the SEC. Ripple's request for additional time on redacted documents was accepted.
While the case between Ripple and the
SEC continues unabated, defense attorney James K. Filan announced on his Twitter account that Ripple received an extension in the motion submitted to the court last week. With this decision, Ripple gained more time to respond to the SEC.
Making the announcement on the subject, defense attorney James K. Filan said the following on his Twitter account:
"Ripple's request for additional time on redacted documents was granted in the Order of Text Only. SEC is directed to submit documents issued for Defendants' consideration by March 30, 2022. Defendants' response is due April 4, 2022."
It should also be noted that the regulator was allowed to make some corrections to four sets of documents related to the Ripple case.
Finally, James Filan stated that Ripple's move to gain extra time was approved in a text-only order. According to the post, Ripple's legal team is expected to respond by April 4. Meanwhile, CryptoLaw founder John Deaton does not expect the lawsuit between Ripple and the SEC to be resolved in March.
