Garanti Filed A Patent For Its Blockchain-Powered System
Garanti filed a patent for its blockchain-powered system. The bank will analyze the customer with this system.
Garanti Bank filed a patent application for a system that offers the most suitable payment instrument to the customer by tracking the payment instruments used in the past and analyzing them with at least one
blockchain network.
As it is known, banks offer card and campaign suggestions to customers by taking usage information into consideration. However, these recommendations do not determine the most suitable means of payment for future expenses.
The system, created by İrem Yılmaz and made available to the public last week, was designed to allow forecasting of future expenditures.
System Will Analyze Historical Data
In the system registered on behalf of Garanti Bank, bank customers' identity, bank subscription and category-based expenditure / invoice information and payment instrument preferences will be recorded on a blockchain network.
When there is a new campaign in the bank, it will be checked through this system whether the customer uses a suitable payment tool for this campaign and whether they shop in the categories where the campaign is valid.
System Will Recommend The Most Suitable Payment Tool
As a result of the analysis made by taking into account the past expenditure and campaign data, the customer will be informed about which payment instrument can be used within the scope of the campaign.
Following statements were included in the patent application:
"Thanks to this invention, a system is made possible by presenting campaigns to customers, indicating the payment instruments that these campaigns are valid, enabling customers to select the appropriate one by scanning the campaigns, and to predict the future expenditures of the customers."
It was stated that the application made in February was sent for research at the beginning of this month.
