Impending Economic "Hurricane" Warning from Goldman Sachs. John Waldron, Chairman of the Board of Goldman Sachs, said the current economic turmoil was one of his biggest challenges in his career and warned investors to prepare for "the coming hurricane." Waldron said, “I will refrain from making any analogies with any weather conditions, but I am afraid that the risks from inflation, changing monetary policy and Russia's attack on Ukraine will hit the global economy on the knee. It is the most complex and dynamic environment I have seen in my career. But the increase in the number of shocks to the system, is an unprecedented situation for me."
Expressing that he does not doubt that there will be more difficult economic times ahead, Waldron said, "There is no doubt that we will see a more challenging capital markets environment."
