Narendra Modi held an online meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on increasing cooperation between the two countries, ANI News reported.
After the meeting, the leaders issued a joint statement on the development of cooperation between the two countries in different fields, such as the
economy, energy, food security, health, and defense.
Before the meeting, the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement was signed between India and the UAE.
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement, signed by Indian Trade and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and UAE Economy Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, which envisages the reduction of customs tariffs, is aimed at increasing trade between the two countries.
In a statement on his Twitter account regarding the agreement, Goyal stated that the two countries have entered a "golden period" in economic and commercial cooperation.
