Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar: ''3 More Grain Ships Will Depart From Ukraine''

Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar noted that efforts are underway for three of the ships loaded with grain and foodstuffs waiting in Ukrainian ports to dock as of tomorrow.

Akar met separately with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov. Hulusi Akar, on the question of the AA correspondent regarding the talks and grain shipment, noted that under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on July 22 in Istanbul, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations (UN) signed the "Initiative Document on the Safe Shipment of Grain and Foodstuffs through Ukrainian Ports". Stating that a Joint Coordination Center was established in Istanbul within the scope of the "Initiative Document on the Safe Shipment of Grain and Foodstuffs through Ukrainian Ports", Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar stated that they continue to work with the Russian Federation, Ukraine and UN officials for the smooth operation of the system. Akar said, "As a result of the intensive work and coordination in the center, 3 ships from Ukrainian ports are planned to start sailing tomorrow within the scope of grain shipment. In addition, an empty ship is expected to be inspected in Istanbul and depart for Ukraine."
