Original 1977 Winamp Skin Will Be Sold As NFT
The original 1977 skin of Winamp, one of the most popular media players in the past, will be sold as NFT. Proceeds will be donated to charities.

Winamp will be auctioned as NFT via OpenSea. The auction will take place between 16-22 May.
While Winamp is auctioning the original 1997 skin, it will also auction a total of 1997
NFTs of 20 artworks derived from the original look on May 23.
Winamp states that 19 of the 20 works selected from the projects submitted until April 15 will be sold as 100 copies, and one will be 97 copies. It is stated that all works will be sold for 0.08 Ethereum (approximately $220), while artists will receive 20% of the proceeds from the first sale and 10% of the proceeds from subsequent sales.
It is stated that all proceeds will go to the Winamp Foundation to be donated to charities. Winamp CEO Alexandre Saboundjian says they are taking this initiative to support music and musicians.
