Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, one of the most popular dark web marketplaces, known as Dead Pirate Roberts, announced that he will launch his own NFT collection. Ross Ulbricht’s NFT collection will feature the turning points in his life.
Ross Ulbricht has turned and auctioned various important moments in his life, from his childhood to his life in prison, into his NFT collection. On the other hand, it was noted that the proceeds from the sale of the collection will be spent on Ulbricht’s freedom and support for the prisoners.
The Ross Ulbricht Genesis Collection produced on the Ethereum network will be exhibited at Art Basel Miami. On the other hand, the auction of Ulbricht’s collection will be held on the SuperRare NFT platform on December 2-8. The NFT collection in question will include ten pieces of NFT, including original animation by digital artist Levitate and voiced by Ulbricht.
Ross Ulbricht, who has been in prison since 2013, used the following statements in his statement on the subject:
“I was 29 when I was arrested. In prison, I had time to start drawing again. I reconnected with my artistic side, producing illustrations that tell the story I live.”
Ross Ulbricht’s mother also stated that the proceeds from the auction will serve as a fundraiser both for her son’s freedom and to support other prisoners in prison.
