Twitter’s CEO Dorsey Announced His New Bitcoin Project
Twitter’s CEO Dorsey announced his new Bitcoin project. Dorsey wants to build a decentralized Bitcoin exchange.
Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter and Square, announced that they are planning to set up a decentralized Bitcoin exchange.
The exchange will be created by TBD, a unit of payments giant Square focused on creating an open developer platform.
In a tweet,
Dorsey said, “Help us create an open platform to create a decentralized exchange for Bitcoin.”
Mike Brock, the head of the initiative, said that they will create a decentralized exchange where Bitcoin can be bought and sold in fiat currencies. Underlining that the platform will be developed as a completely public, open source, Brock added that any wallet can be used on the platform.

First Signals On The Subject Was In July
Dorsey said in July that he was working on a new decentralized and open-source project through Square. Stating that the company will create an open-source developer platform aimed at facilitating the creation of decentralized financial services, Dorsey stated that the first focus will be Bitcoin, and the name of the project is TBD.
