Visa, one of the world's leading payment companies, will provide cryptocurrency consultancy to banks.
Payments giant
Visa has announced that it has started providing a Global Crypto Advisory Service to assist customers and partners with cryptocurrencies.
Visa's global network of advisors and experts has a deep knowledge of helping financial institutions evaluate cryptocurrency opportunities, develop concrete strategies, and assist in areas such as crypto rewards programs and CBDC, thanks to their work with more than 60 cryptocurrency platforms.
Carl Rutstein, Global Head of Consulting and Analytics at
Visa, said, “Last year we saw a shift towards creating a strategy and product roadmap as our clients wanted to explore and experiment with cryptocurrency.”
A recent study by Visa found that nearly a third of respondents are directly interested in cryptocurrencies as an investment or exchange tool. Forty percent of cryptocurrency investors participating in the survey see it as likely or very likely that their customer bank will turn into a bank that provides cryptocurrency services in the next 12 months.
Terry Angelos, Senior Vice President and Global Fintech at Visa, said: “Crypto represents a technological shift in money movement and digital ownership. Every financial institution will need a crypto strategy as consumers change their approach to investing, where they bank, and how they view the future of money."
