Erdogan Pointed to Double-Digit Growth at the End of the Year
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made evaluations about the economy in his speech at the Turkey 2023 Summit.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his speech at the Turkey 2023 Summit, pointed to double-digit growth at the end of the year.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the following statements in his speech:
“While the whole world closed contact in the pandemic, we continued our production processes. In the first quarter of this year, we grew by 7.2 percent and 21.7 percent. Although international organizations estimate 9 percent, we think that we will reach double-digit growth figures by the end of the year. While we focus on big goals, we are not ignoring the problems. We are aware of the problems of our citizens. We are taking the necessary measures to reflect the costs caused by the deteriorated economic balances on a global scale due to the epidemic to the minimum level. We tried to protect producers and farmers by setting very high purchase prices in agricultural products. We will continue to raise Turkey on the basis of production, export, investment and employment, without giving a premium to the doomsayers.”
