European Stock Markets Closed The Day With An Increase
European stock markets closed the day with an increase. The recovery in risk perception positively reflected on the stock markets.
At the end of the day, the benchmark index Stoxx Europe 600 reached 441.69 points with an increase of 0.23 percent. In the UK, the FTSE 100 index increased 1.00 percent to 7.019.79 points, in Germany the DAX 30 index gained 1.70 percent to 15.370.26 points, in France the CAC 40 index increased by 1.29 percent to 6.343.58 points. In Italy, the FTSE MIB 30 index rose 0.88 percent to 24,702.11 points.
Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting held on April 27-28 revealed that some officials were ready to begin discussing reduction in asset purchases.
It is stated in the minutes that the
FED's significant progress towards the maximum employment and price stability targets will probably take some time, “Some participants noted that if the economy continues to make rapid progress towards the Committee's goals, it may be appropriate to start discussing a plan to set the pace of asset purchases at some point in future meetings.”
After China's domestic financial institutions and payment systems banned cryptocurrency services yesterday, the cryptocurrency market also recovered after sharp declines.
