Famous Investor Warren Buffett Sold His Shares In Wells Fargo
US billionaire investor Warren Buffett has decided to sell all his shares in Wells Fargo.
Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway investment firm, announced that he sold his shares of Wells Fargo in the first quarter.
Berkshire Hathaway, the company of 91-year-old stock investor Buffett, started the investment 30 years ago, and it was noted that despite the scandals that started in 2016, the bank did not sell.
Buffett's exit came at a time when the bank's CEO, Charlie Scharf, was grappling with regulatory issues and taking various steps, such as reducing the workforce to improve efficiency. Shares of the San Francisco-based bank have dropped nearly 12 percent this year.
Berkshire also shared with the public that it bought shares from the banking giant Citigroup.
