Mark Carney, former president of the central banks of
UK and Canada, will serve on the board of directors of US digital payment systems company Stripe. The company recently announced that it is preparing to receive its principal funding with a valuation of more than $ 100 billion.
The company said the following in a statement on Sunday;
“Organized by many different legal areas and collaborating with many financial institutions around the world, Stripe will benefit from Mark Carney's knowledge and management of the global financial system.”
According to the news in the Forbes investors value Stripe at the level of 115 billion dollars in the secondary market. One of the top executives of Stripe said the company wants to expand to South Asia, Japan, China and India.
The company offers products to companies that carry out business activities so that customers can receive digital payments.
Stripe received an investment of $ 600 million in April as an extension of Series G funding, but the company's value was estimated at $ 36 billion at that time.
