The airline company, which announced that it will remove 150 aircraft from its fleet by 2025, said,
`` The slight improvement seen in July and August has been replaced by a decrease in the number of passengers and reservations with the end of the summer season."
Lufthansa, which previously put 6 Airbus A380 superjumbos out of service, will also pull 8 A380s and 10 A340-600s to the hangar. The company will re-commission the aircrafts if the market improves. 6 Airbus A340-600s in the fleet will also be permanently out of service.

The airline company Lufthansa, which was on the brink of bankruptcy due to the Covid-19 outbreak, was saved from bankruptcy thanks to the German government's 9 billion Euro rescue package.
