Trump May Not Approve the Sale of TikTok to Oracle Corp. US President Donald Trump stated that he welcomed the sale of US operations of TikTok, to Oracle Corp. However, it was stated that Trump may not approve the deal if entirity of  US operations will not be given to Oracle Corp. with the purchase.Trump may not approve the sale of TikTok to Oracle Corp. Donald Trump stated that if the US operations of the TikTok application are not purchased by a US company, due to national security concerns, TikTok will be banned in the country, thereupon, negotiations began between the Chinese company ByteDance, which owns TikTok, and Oracle Corp of the USA. Trump said in a meeting with Fox News that he would not approve the deal if China maintains its dominance over TikTok. Trump, referring to the ByteDance company, said, "They will have no relations with the company. Otherwise, we will not sign the agreement. The new company will be completely under Oracle's control." Following this announcement, Hu Xijin, chief editor of China's state-sponsored broadcaster Global Times, published a message on social media that Beijing would not accept this agreement, possibly because it would pose a threat to national security, interests and reputation.
