Grain Corridor Assessment by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
Referring to his meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskiy and Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that there is no obstacle to the extension of the grain corridor agreement.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that Sweden's new Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has asked for an appointment with him. Answering the questions of members of the media on the plane returning from Azerbaijan, President Erdoğan said,
"I told our friends 'give him an appointment, let him come'. Our opinion on this point has not changed. They should capture these terrorists who have been sentenced to such criminal sanctions and give them to us. Unless they are given to us, this will not work at the parliamentary stage."
On the grain corridor agreement, he said,
"There is no obstacle to extend the shipment agreement. I saw this again in my meeting with Mr. Zelenskiy last night and in my meeting with Mr. Putin. But if there is any blockage in the meantime, there is no obstacle to overcome it." Erdogan added that Turkey will continue its efforts to bring the parties together and achieve peace.
In response to a question about the F-16 negotiations with the
US, the President said that the process was proceeding as planned, adding,
"Of course, the US is not the only way out for us. When necessary, just like with the S400s, we can go beyond America."
