Greece's Inflation Hits All-Time Highs. As the Russia-Ukraine war increased energy costs, inflation skyrocketed in Greece. According to April data, inflation rose to 10.2 percent. Thus, after 27 years, inflation reached double digits in the country. EU-compliant CPI, on the other hand, rose from 8 percent to 9.1 percent. Like many other countries in Europe, Greece has announced fiscal packages on electricity and gas bills to support households and businesses due to rising living costs.
