Hatzidakis And Pyatt Discussed The Issues About The Energy Policy Of The Greece And USA
In the statement of the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy, Hatzidakis and Pyatt discussed the main issues about the energy policy of the Greece and USA. While the parties were discussing the cooperation within the scope of the 3 + 1 mechanism (Greece-Cyprus-Israel and the USA), Hatzidakis and Pyatt noted that the Alexandroupolis floating LNG terminal project, which they stated is important for the two countries, is progressing very well and will have a positive impact on both geostrategy and energy.
In the statement, the following statements were used about the energy investments of the USA in Greece:
"US energy investments in Greece over the past year have grown significantly. US companies such as ONEX and Black Summit, as well as Quantum Energy Partners, National Energy, General Electric, Fortress, Blink and Tesla have contributed in this area."
6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas is expected to be transferred annually from the Alexandroupolis floating LNG terminal. LNG, which will mostly come from the USA and Qatar, is planned to be delivered to Southeast Europe via the Greece-Bulgaria Pipeline.
