The company, which announced on Tuesday that it had ordered new devices, did not say which devices it had ordered.
Noting that they will receive 2,000 units in the next 60 days, HIVE officials underlined that they will also receive the remaining devices at the beginning of last spring. While the devices purchased from the company named Canaan are expected to operate at 272 petahash (PH/s), the company's current hash power is expected to increase significantly.
The total power of Bitcoin mining devices working for HIVE averaged 925 petahash. With the new devices, level of 1 exahash (EH/s) will be exceeded.
