The housing price index in 20 cities also increased by 11.1 percent annually, from the previous 10.2 percent. The largest annual increase was in Phoenix with 15.8 percent, followed by Seattle with 14.3 percent and San Diego with 14.2 percent.
It was stated that the record low interest rates also supported the housing market.
