How did BIST 100 Perform in the First Half?

How did BIST 100 perform in the first half? The most rising and falling stocks in the BIST 100 index were announced at Borsa Istanbul today.

The increasing number of cases and casualties in the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic affected the world stock markets, especially the USA and Europe, and the indices fell. As new strains of the virus emerge, companies slowing the supply of vaccines brought new restrictions in Europe. On the other hand, while the US $ 1.9 trillion coronavirus support package is expected to pass by the Senate this month, the markets turned to a sell-off course when the Senate officials signaled for March. Domestic BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul, which broke a record last week, fell for the rest of the week and closed the day with a decrease yesterday. BIST 100, which is currently traded around 1.540 points, saw the lowest 1.516 points in the first session. Yesterday, the decline in BIST Banks and BIST Holding & Investments stocks in the BIST 100 index created pressure. Today, the Banking Index, which fell more than 1 percent, started to move vertically and started to be traded at a premium of 0.40 percent. But the monthly loss is not yet over. BIST Electric, which performed well among the indices yesterday, has a premium of 1 percent today and its monthly return is 12 percent. The leading index today was the BIST Industry, the index is moving with sellers today. In the first half of the day, the best performance on the basis of indices was on the XFINK front with a premium over 2.5 percent, while the index with the highest decline was BIST Sports with 1.40 percent.   The most traded stocks in the first half of the day are as follows: Emlak Konut Gayrımenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. (IS:EKGYO), Türkiye Garanti Bankası (IS:GARAN), Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:KARSN), Koza Altın İşletmeleri A.Ş. (IS:KOZAL) In addition, the highest rising shares in the first half of the day were Marmaris Altınyunus Turistik Tesisleri A.Ş. (IS:MAALT), Sanko Pazarlama İthalat İhracat A.Ş. (IS:SANKO), Luks Kadife Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. (IS:LUKSK), Vakıf Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. (IS:VAKFN), Diriliş Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:DIRIT) ve Türk Tuborg Bira ve Malt Sanayi A.Ş. (IS:TBORG), while the most declining stocks were Merit Turizm Yatırım ve İşletme A.Ş. (IS:MERIT), Sönmez Filament Sentetik İplik ve Elyaf Sanayi A.Ş. (IS:SONME), Sumaş Suni Tahta ve Mobilya Sanayi A.Ş. (IS:SUMAS), Politeknik Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:POLTK) ve Petrokent Turizm A.Ş. (IS:PKENT)
