How Did Borsa Istanbul Move on Tuesday, November 1?

The BIST 100 index, which shows the 100 stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul and the 100 stocks with the highest market and trading volume, started Tuesday, November 1, in the 4,000 point band. Then the positive trend continued until noon and the index renewed its record at 4,100 points.

BIST 100 index recorded a value increase of up to 3% in the morning session. In the afternoon trading, it moved with sellers and fell as low as 4,028 points in the last hour. The index recovered slightly near the close, maintaining its daily gain of 1.5%. When evaluated by sectors in Borsa Istanbul, telecommunications, electricity and chemical, petroleum and plastics sectors moved above the average with an increase of 3%. The food sector declined by around 1.5% while playing with sellers today. SMEs, banks and information technologies also continued slightly negative at the end of the day. In foreign markets, Asian indices closed the day positively. US indices started the day slightly negative. Nasdaq, Dow Jones and S&P 500 were down by 0.5% on average.
