How Did Borsa Istanbul Start Thursday, 13.10.2022?

The BIST 100 index, which is the main indicator used to measure the performance of the 100 stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul in terms of market and trading volume, closed yesterday at 3,517.85 points, down 1.5%. The index started Thursday at 3,533.3 points, up 0.44%.

BIST 100 Index is experiencing a partial decline of nearly 1% this week after last week's 12% rise. At the opening, retail trade was announced as the index that rose the most with an increase of nearly 2%. Services and construction sectors followed retail trade with a positive start of nearly 1%. The only index that started the day on the downside was factoring, down 0.34%. Tourism, simple metals and textile & leather sectors remained flat at the opening. Banks, holding and industrials indices rose by half a point and opened in line with BIST 100. One of the most prominent BIST 100 stocks in the morning hours of Borsa Istanbul was Girisim Elektrik (GESAN), which rose 8% to 113 TRY in the first minutes. Afterwards, Hektaş (HEKTS), Smart Güneş Enerjisi (SMART), Turk Prysmian Kablo (PRKAB) were the stocks with the highest demand increase. Losses in BIST 100 were limited at the opening of the day. Türk Traktör (TTRAK) and SASA (SASA) were the most declining stocks, down 1%, followed by RTA and Çemaş. US indices closed the day slightly negative and flat yesterday. While European indices started the day with sellers, the DAX index opened flat. European futures indices continue to be negative.
