How to Buy Virtual Land in Metaverse - 2
In the beginning of our article, we explored the Metaverse world, the definition of virtual land, Decentraland, closely. Let's take a look at how you can buy virtual land on the Decentraland Marketplace.
1. Go to Decentraland Marketplace
To begin with, you will need to visit the
Decentraland Marketplace and login or register if you are not already logged in. After logging in, browse to "Plots and Properties". Then click "View All".
2. Select a LAND parcel
The next step is to browse through the available pieces of land and choose your preferred terrain. The advantage of buying land directly on Decentraland is that you can see neighboring areas and proximity to famous areas.
Once you have chosen your virtual piece of land, click on it to read it in detail. Here you will see the price of the land in MANA, its availability and the name of the owner.
Tap "Buy" to make the purchase.
3. Link your wallet to Decentraland Marketplace
Once the purchase is successful and completed, the land will be sent to your wallet as
NFT, so you need to make sure your wallet is linked to your account to complete the purchase.
If you don't have a wallet, you can download wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet. Note that your preferred wallet must have sufficient MANA or Ethereum (ETH) to be able to make the purchase.
4. Confirm your virtual LAND
After the purchase is complete, you can confirm your LAND in your wallet.
You can confirm under the "Collections" tab if you are using Trust Wallet, or under the "NFTs" tab if you are using MetaMask.
Should you buy virtual real estate on Metaverse?
Backed by Facebook's interest in the metaverse and Web 3.0-focused investors in all things metaverse, virtual real estate could become a highly lucrative asset class, especially for early investors. However, as with any investment you make, you should not invest more than you can afford to lose.
It cannot be denied that the virtual real estate market has grown significantly, but this is a relatively new market and investors should do their due diligence and do their own research before making a decision.
