Hugo Philion, co-founder and CEO of Flare, made new and important statements about the airdrop that
XRP owners are eagerly waiting for.
Philion, in a statement on his Twitter account, reported that the company is focusing on updating Songbird, which is the testnet of
Flare's canary network before the FLR airdrop. The CEO stated that the update being worked on in Songbird will be activated by the end of March, and then they will focus on the release of Flare. While it was stated that the roadmap for the launch of Flare will be published next week, it was noted that exchanges were contacted regarding the distribution of the FLR token.
FLR is the token of the Flare Network. Flare Network aims to enable blockchain networks like XRP and Litecoin to work with smart contracts. Investors who hold XRP in their accounts at the time of registration received on December 12, 2020, when Flare was launched, will immediately receive 15 percent of the tokens to be distributed. The remaining 75 percent will be given gradually over 25 to 34 months.
