Asian stocks started the first trading day of the new week with a bear trend. The holiday of the Japanese stock market caused Asian stocks to start the new week with low volume. Shares in Hong Kong followed a sales-weighted course, losing 1 percent as HSBC Holdings Plc. stocks fell to their lowest level since 1995. While stocks also fell in Australia and China, transactions did not take place in Japan due to the stock markets holiday.   Index Summaries
