Indices in the USA started the new week with an increase. At its opening on Monday, the Dow Jones index rose close to 400 points and gained 1.47 percent to 27,573.02 points.
Indices in the United States started the new day of the week with a rise. The S&P 500 index gained 1.43 percent to 3,345.60 points and the Nasdaq index rose 1.50 percent to 11,076.79 points.
Despite the uncertainty created by the presidential elections to be held in the USA on November 3 and the increase in the number of cases in the coronavirus epidemic, the positive trend in the indices also affected the expectations regarding the incentive package to combat the economic effects of the epidemic.
Last week, it was reported that the US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and the
US House of Representatives President Nancy Pelosi agreed to resume negotiations on the coronavirus stimulus package. Following these statements, Pelosi stated that it is "possible" to implement another stimulus package at the weekend.
