A court in England has ruled that Uber is "in line with the rules" to continue its activities within the country. Following this decision, the driving service provider company was awarded with a working license for 18 months in London. Deputy chief judge Tan Ikram stated in the decision announced on Monday, "Despite previous mistakes, I think the company is now in compliance with the rules to have a license to work in London." The 18-month leave period was determined after the statements of Uber and London Transport. Uber was given a 15-month license by the court in 2018 when it lost its company license for the first time. "Uber does not have an excellent track record, but it is improving," said Ikram, the deputy chief judge, saying that excellence is not essential to test Uber’s compliance. Uber shares gained 7.7 percent at 5:28 US time in trades before markets opened in New York.
