Indices in the USA started the new day with a rise. The rise of the indices was influenced by the macroeconomic data and the announcement of some companies' balance sheets for the last quarter of 2020.
At the opening, the Dow Jones index rose more than 100 points, gaining 0.36 percent and started trading at 31,489.46 points.
The S&P 500 index was traded at 3,931.80 points with 0.53 percent gain, while the Nasdaq index traded at 14.109.12 points with an increase of 0.72 percent.
Indices remained positive after the macroeconomic data announced in the USA today and the last quarter balance sheets of some companies for 2020.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the United States followed a course in line with the expectations in January and gained 0.3 percent monthly. Inflation increased 1.4 percent on an annual basis. However, this increase was realized slightly below market expectations. While core inflation remained unchanged on a monthly basis in January, it gained 1.4 percent annually.
The balance sheets of US-based companies for the last 3 months of 2020 continues to be announced. The financial results of companies such as Coca-Cola, Cisco, Under Armor, General Motors,
Lyft, Mattel and Yelp, which were above expectations, supported the positive atmosphere that prevailed in the markets.
