Inflation Increased in Eurozone
Annual inflation in the Eurozone rose to 1.4 percent in January.
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) published the annual
inflation data for the
European Union (EU) and the Eurozone in January. Accordingly, annual inflation in the Euro Area, which was 1.3 percent in December, reached 1.4 percent in January. Annual inflation in the EU, which was 1.6 percent in December, was measured as 1.7 percent in January.
Among EU member states, the highest inflation in January was in Hungary with 4.7 percent, Romania with 3.9 percent, Poland and Czechia with 3.8 percent. In the said period, the lowest inflation was determined in Italy with 0.4 percent and in Cyprus with 0.7 percent.
