Intel Will Release Its First Mining Chips By The End Of This Year
Continuing to work on developing dedicated GPUs for crypto mining, Intel will release its first mining chips by the end of this year.
While the mining effects continue in the graphics card industry,
Intel, which plans to join the race in the industry, will soon launch its first blockchain devices. Raja M.Koduri, senior vice president of the company's accelerated computing systems and graphics division, made statements about the new chips.
Stating that they are aware of the fact that some blockchains require enormous amounts of computing power, Koduri said that they are focusing on developing the most energy-efficient computing technologies. In the continuation of the explanations, the senior vice president, who stated that the new architecture will be applied on a small silicon to have a minimum impact on the supply chain, says that they will offer 1000 times better performance per watt compared to today's graphics cards.
Intel, which has created a new private computing group within the accelerated computing systems and graphics business unit along with the new chips, will present its first products to Argo Blockchain, Block (formerly Square) and
Bitcoin mining company GRIID Infrastructure.
