iPhone 12 mini - Designed for those who find the smaller device more functional
Apple's iPhone 12 mini is a compact powerhouse, priced at $ 699. The Mini has the A14 Bionic processor, but manages to fit it in a body even smaller than a $ 399 iPhone SE. The iPhone 12 mini comes with a larger screen than the SE's 4.7-inch screen. Although the iPhone Mini is smaller than the SE as a body, it comes with a screen size of 5.4 inches. Apple achieved this by extending the screen to the sides of the phone and removing the Home button that it had been applying for several generations. The larger screen size of the iPhone 12 mini means you can see more content at the same time compared to the SE, for a better viewing experience whether you're reading the text of a news article or watching Netflix.
The display type of the iPhone 12 Mini is the Super Retina XDR display technology found in the entire other iPhone 12 series.
So you won't miss the color or the quality, even in smaller size
At just 4.76 ounces, the mini is lighter than the other iPhone 12 or even SE. You can easily feel this difference while holding the phone or carrying it in your pocket. This is a big win for those who are interested in a compact device. The iPhone 12 mini also features the same camera setup as the standard iPhone 12, complete with wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses and Apple's night mode, allowing you to capture quality images even in low-light environments like never before. Images shot with the iPhone 12 mini offer clear and vibrant colors. And night shots look great, but your subject needs to stay still to avoid blur.
Storage for iPhone Mini starts from 64GB and can be upgraded to 128GB and 256GB models, and like every iPhone 12 model, the device comes with 5G features.
Beyond that, as Apple announced, the Ceramic Shield glass is 4 times more durable than the iPhone 11's display, and the MagSafe wireless charging technology is integrated. However, the mini has a smaller battery than its larger friends. In our test, the mini showed 12 hours of video playback performance while receiving email and mundane notifications on a normal day and ended with 13% battery life. This is definitely a solid value, but if you want your phone to be a marathon runner, the mini might not be the best option for you.
But if you need a premium, small phone, the iPhone 12 mini is a great choice.
iPhone 12 - Designed for those who want a bigger screen and low price
The $ 799 iPhone 12 is the reference version of the series. Not as small as Mini, not as big as Max. It doesn't have as many features as a Pro, but it is just as affordable. 12 is a middle ground option that most people will prefer. With its 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, iPhone 12 is about the size of a general device and has a larger viewing area than the iPhone 12 mini. It's definitely not a giant though. However, it's probably a perfect size for most users.
64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB storage space
Like the iPhone Mini, iPhone 12 is covered with aluminum and features Apple's Ceramic Shield glass. It also uses the A14 Bionic chip and comes in the same amount of storage space as the mini: 64GB, 128GB or 256GB. iPhone 12 also comes with the same wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras as the 12 mini, as well as the same low-light photography capabilities, MagSafe charging and 5G connectivity technologies. The biggest difference between 12 and Mini is its size. This also means 12 will have a slightly larger battery. So if you haven't set the size and don't need the extras of the Pro and Pro Max, the iPhone 12 will just fit your needs.
iPhone 12 Pro - For those who want more functionality without an extra screen size
At $ 999, the iPhone 12 Pro is the same size as the iPhone 12, but brings all the enhancements associated with Apple's Pro line of devices. iPhone 12 Pro is made from a different material: stainless steel is used instead of the aluminum used in the 12 mini and 12. The iPhone 12 Pro is the same size as the 12, albeit slightly heavier. The A14 Bionic chip comes with the standard features of the 12 series, including 5G connectivity, Ceramic Shield front and MagSafe wireless charging.
A third telephoto camera lens is attached
What the 12 Pro adds is a more impressive camera and larger storage options. The 12 Pro uses the same wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle cameras as the 12 and 12 mini, but a third telephoto camera lens is attached that allows you to optically (without image loss) zoom your subjects 2 times closer. Optical zoom is preferred to digital zoom because optical zoom uses real lenses to zoom in on an object rather than software tricks that can create a blurry image. It doesn't look like something you would normally use at times. However, instead of using a wide-angle lens at close range, you can capture original and quality moments by taking photos of your friends or family remotely using a telephoto lens.
With this telephoto lens, Apple's LiDAR sensor is also featured. This sends out invisible rays that allow the phone to measure the exact distance between you and the object you want to shoot. It enables the iPhone 12 Pro to focus on objects faster in both standard and low light settings and use augmented reality applications more accurately.
And since the iPhone Pro is the Pro model, it has more storage options than the standard 12 and 12 mini. The basic version of the Pro comes with 128GB of storage, but can be upgraded to 256GB and 512GB.
iPhone 12 Pro Max - Designed for those who want everything and more
Fasten your seatbelts because the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the latest model in the iPhone 12 series. Starting at $ 1,099, this giant has Apple's largest iPhone display ever with a 6.7-inch panel. Super Retina rocks with its XDR display and Ceramic Shield glass!
This screen is really huge!
The difference in size between the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the 12 Pro Max is easily noticeable. Fans of large-screen smartphones should have the 12 Pro Max on your radar. IPhone 12 Pro Max, this model can be a great option for you, for watching videos, reading things, and anything you have trouble seeing on a smaller screen.
In terms of design, the 12 Pro Max looks the same as the other iPhone 12 series. However, it uses the same stainless steel case as the iPhone 12 Pro. All other features of the series; MagSafe charging and 5G connectivity are included in the 12 Pro Max.
However, the 12 Pro Max comes with some interesting camera improvements over the standard Pro. The 47 percent larger image sensor on iPhone Pro Max captures more light in both normal and low light settings, making colors more vivid and images appear clearer.
The Pro Max also has a 2.5x optical telephoto zoom instead of the 2x optical zoom found on the 12 Pro. Sometimes, when taking a normal shot, zooming in on your subject without blurring or creating artifacts can make a difference. And of course the Pro Max has the same three storage options as the Pro: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
