AstraZeneca CEO Pascal Soriot said the following on the matter: “The relaunch of clinical trials around the world is great news because we need to continue our efforts to develop this vaccine to help conquer this terrible pandemic.” Coronavirus vaccine studies, which AstraZeneca progressed with Oxford University, was stopped when a neurological problem appeared in one of the subjects when it came to phase 2. Along with cosmetic and hygienic products, medical equipment and drug manufacturer Johnson & Johnson also stopped vaccination studies due to one of the subjects getting sick. In addition, Johnson & Johnson signed a $ 1 billion deal with the US government for the production and delivery of 100 million doses of Coronavirus vaccine on August 5.
