The General Directorate of the American Hospital announced that Rahmi Koç, Honorary Chairman of Koç Holding, was discharged from the hospital. In the statement made by the American Hospital, it was stated that Koç Holding Honorary Chairman Rahmi Koç was discharged from the hospital today. While Rahmi Koç was said to be in good health, it was informed that he would continue to rest at home.

Who is Rahmi Koç?
Rahmi M. Koç was born in 1930. After completing his reserve officer service in the War Academies, he started working at the Otokoç company in 1958, working in the Koç Group. In 1960, the representative company of the Koç Group in Ankara was transferred to Koç Ticaret.
In 1964, when Koç Holding, which was established only a year ago, moved from Ankara to Istanbul, Rahmi Koç became the head of the holding as the General Coordinator and moved to Istanbul.
Rahmi Koç became the Chairman of the Executive Committee of seven people in 1970, and after he became the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors in 1975, he became the Chairman of the Koç Holding Management Committee, a four-person senior executive board in 1980.
Rahmi Koç became the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koç Holding on March 30, 1984, after his father Vehbi Koç handed over the chairmanship of the Board of Directors to him in 1984. He retired from his duty on April 4, 2003 and was replaced by his eldest son, Mustafa Koç (d.2016).
