English football club Manchester City, collaborating with the NFT platform called Quidd for the 3D NFT collection, put the players' NFT cards up for sale.
NFT Cards of Manchester City Players Are On Sale. While the institutional interest in NFTs is increasing day by day, a move came from Manchester City. Manchester City, which finished the Premier League champion, made an agreement with the Quidd platform for the NFT collection.
NFT Marketplace Quid made the following statements on the subject:
“The collaboration includes four drops starting on May 20 and extending to the end of the season. Fans will not only discover 3D player cards, a first in sports collecting, but also sets that highlight key moments in the club's recent history, and access archival details as the cards are flipped backwards."
This is not the first step Manchester City has taken to increase engagement with their fans. The successful sports club announced a partnership with Sony in the past months.
