Mayor of Miami invited the Chinese miners.
Mayor Francis Suarez, who is known for the Bitcoin 2021 event and his support for BTC, stated that the doors are open to miners waiting to leave China.
Making statements to CNBC, Suarez said that the city has a serious potential to use nuclear power and said, “We are in contact with many companies. We say to them, ‘Come and work here’.”
“Nuclear Energy is Clean and Cost-Effective”
Francis Suarez, who has been saying that he trusts cryptocurrencies for years and started investing in BTC and ETH, especially after the US government announced the $1.9 trillion support package, pointed out that the city also trusts nuclear energy as a clean and cheap energy source.
In the statement made by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, he stated that the hourly kilowatt electricity cost in Miami is 10.7 cents on average, and this figure is 13.3 cents on the national average. The city of Miami gets some of its electricity from a nuclear power plant.
“These Things Don't Happen In A Day”
Noting that all these plans can’t be done in one day, the mayor of Miami said, “Establishing a mining facility is like setting up a data center. And these won’t happen in a day.”
“States Are Not Against Cryptocurrency”
Although the cryptocurrency market is generally known as an anti-government formation, Suarez stated that he does not agree with this comment with the following words:
“That's why I got on the cryptocurrency train. The government did not try to end cryptocurrencies. People saw it, and that's why they showed a lot of interest. People's lives can change with this sector. What we plan to do is very important for Miami.”
Miami, a city in the state of Florida, hosted one of the largest Bitcoin events in the world in the first days of June and hosted thousands of cryptocurrency enthusiasts from around the world.
